SUMMER IN THE CITY: A FASHION PEG BOARD

All these posts about New York got me daydreaming that I was back in the city. Being the pro-daydreamer that I am, the scenarios I cook up in my head are of the intricate, detail oriented sort. Current subject? What to wear in New York during summer. Temperatures are rising in the Big Apple so New Yorker Reg, as I fondly call her, is now going through runway looks and planning her summer outfits. Sharing with you her peg board of SS2015 picks and favorites. Go big or go home, right? :)

For daytime: Flow-y dresses and lace up gladiators from Chloé, a striking orange Birkin bag (might as well, right?!), tortoise frame oversized cateye sunglasses, a casual hat, and of course, bright and colorful nail polish for the summer.

For the evening: An edgy take on classic cuts and silhouettes from Lanvin, a statement cuff from Céline, rouge for the lips and nails, a simple gold necklace (preferably Cartier's Love necklace), and the item in every girl's wish list - a Chanel 2.55.

What do you guys think? Will you wear these looks in the city? The joy about peg boards is that you can recreate heavily branded looks for a fraction of the cost. I personally don't think I'd ever splurge for the above luxury goods - I'd rather go travel instead - but I had so much fun playing dress up and choosing these pieces. Daydreaming is free, anyway. :p
