I GOT SOME WEST SIDE LOVE
Obviously this attempt to explain why I prefer the West is futile since I didn't really get to discover what the East had to offer. But like most things in life, logic need not be at the helm of decision-making, sometimes it's gut feel that drives us.
This photodiary is from when the West officially won me over; it was the Sunday my aunt showed me around. We started with a beautiful mass at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus in the Upper West, followed by a stroll along Chelsea, lunch at Santina in the Meatpacking District, and a visit to the High Line. We then continued on to the Village where I sampled Magnolia Bakery's red velvet cupcake and banana pudding, spotted Brandon Stanton of HoNY(!), visited Carrie Bradshaw's home, and pretty much fell in love with its cobble-stoned charm. We also dropped by two other landmarks but that will be for the next posts. ;)
Here's hoping I rub a bit of the west side love to you!
EDIT: The two landmarks are Caffe Reggio and Washington Square Park.
