WHAT I'M LOVING NOW 005

It's been a while since the last "What I'm Loving Now" post - December to be exact and that's okay coz I've already pre-empted early on that this won't be a "regular" series; what's not okay is that I've set a target for myself for number of posts I'd be producing a month and I am falling behind. Anyone ever had the same problem? How'd you go about it? I mean, obviously, it's all about prioritizing, but I haven't really been good at it lately. It's no wonder that a bunch of things on this list are what I've been doing instead of blogging, hehe! But anyway, time to stop beating myself up and working on my blogging #goalz instead by sharing with you what I'm loving now (redundant, much?).

1. Facebook Memes

Facebook has always been a major distraction, I could mindlessly scroll and instantly lose 10 minutes. Recently though, I've succumbed to answering memes too, hehe! Aside from finding out that the newest and hottest love team is SamReg (Sam Milby and me, haha!), I was reacquainted with my life path number and I found out my dominant emotion. I know, these are exactly what my Psych professors have been warning us about, how most of it is not grounded in actual science, but I like reading the results, especially if it resonates with me, coz you can get "tips" from it.

2. Pizza Hut Free coupons

I loooove pizza. And recently, I've been getting this coupon with every delivery (which makes me order more, hahaha). It's the best! Like yesterday, it was 50% off for personal stuffed crust pizza, so we got 2 personal pepperoni stuffed crust pizzas, and a regular Hawaiian pizza for $15. I mean, seriously!?! Nom nom nom!!! And oh, sorry guys, that coupon has already been used up. Order for yourself lah! ;)

3. Pencil Skirts

The fashion item that I am obsessed with. It's hard to find a skirt that fits me well coz my hips are wide but I've recently found one that makes me look good and feel good. I am in looove and I've gotten a couple more, hehe! Shout out to my office girl peg, Rachel Zane!

4. Sudoku and Mini Crossword at NYTimes

I got a free 1-month trial for The New York Times website and it's great not having a 10 article limit. Aside from checking out love stories and wedding photos (hehe!), I've actually enjoyed learning about markets and getting a wider perspective on global crises and governance. BUT, if I were to rank my absolute favorite thing about the website, it's the Puzzles section. I haven't finished a whole Crossword yet, but the Mini (although hated by legit crossword-ers) has been boosting my ego. And don't let me get started on Sudoku. Easy is easy but medium and difficult? Ughhh.. Not so good. But it's been a challenge I've been looking forward to everyday, and best part is, you don't need a subscription for the daily ones.

5. Sharing my writing with Thought Catalog and Out & Abroad

But probably the best part of the month so far was seeing my work published somewhere other than this blog. I always get scared of the feedback I might receive or what people may think of me whenever I write something coz I am *surprise, surprise* a people-pleaser. This constant need to be liked and be in good terms with everyone is something I've been trying to curb and writing and sharing has been a good exercise in minimizing such tendencies. I can't be scared to write because of possible feedback because I am not just my writing. So eff it, here's to writing more. ;) Special mention must also be given to Rica for being my first "legit" editor who made that final push to the article's right place, sarap ng feeling, guys! Hehe! Looking forward to writing more and sharing more! Modern Love next!! Hehe! :)

What about you? What are you loving now? Anything on the list that you like? Don't like? Let me know below!

And oh, check out my piece on Thought Catalog and Out & Abroad and connect with me on Facebook too. ;)
