WHAT I'M LOVING NOW 002
Before you go "WTF Reg!??!", there's a reason why my face x 6 made it to this edition of What I'm Loving Now. This redemption set of ID photos was the highlight of my week. A couple of days prior, I went inside a photobooth and ended up with THE WORST set of ID photos I've ever took in my whole life. Even my usually loving and supportive boyfriend laughed and said it's ugly. It's unflattering and I wasn't looking!!! Hahaha Admittedly, I need to touch up my roots soon, but the photo above gave it a more ombre finish rather than the below (yes, I'm posting my ugliest ID photo ever here for your viewing pleasure, hahaha!). Taking photos without smiling isn't my strong suit but when the lady snapped the photo above, my standards were so low already that I didn't need to retake, I was like "I'LL TAKE IT!!!". Quite funny coz I just watched Amelie for the first time and Amelie and tearing photobooth pictures.. Y'know. *kroo kroo* Anyway, I won't keep babbling, below are five things I'm loving now, but before that... As promised...
HAHAHA!
1. *THIS* Playlist
I swear, this Spotify playlist is such good vibes!!! All my jamzzz, yo! :) I dare you not to singalong and move around with this music blasting! I know I can't! I've been playing this on repeat for the past couple of days now.
2. Incredible Truths from Buqo
My Bloggers United boothmate, Krissy, recently held a giveaway for this #StrangeLit compilation called Incredible Truths. What's so special about this collection is she herself has a story in it. Woohoo! And guess what, I won myself a free copy! Having previously read Krissy's "Love Upon a Sticky Note" from the Buqo Young Adult compilation, I'm pretty sure it'll be a page turner! I plan on reading it on the ferry ride to Indonesia tomorrow!
3. Going for French classes
The thing is... I have a Minor in French. The problem though is that my level has nosedived because of my lack of practice. I don't want it to be a complete waste so I've been taking French classes again. I'm halfway through my course and so far, so good! 2 hours just always seem to zoom by! Here's to hoping making sure that I get a better hang of it and that it finally sticks!
4. Shopping for Winter Wear
As much as I love the aesthetics of winter wear, I've never actually experienced the season, yet alone plan my wardrobe around it. As much as I love layering and throwing on outerwear, I've done so without really putting much consideration to warmth - just what looks nice. Preparing outfits for my upcoming trip is something I have been putting off, as much as I'm really excited about it!!!, because the past few weeks have been rather busy. But!! I finally got to get a couple of pieces! This striped top was one of them. :)
5. It's Not About the Coffee by Howard Behar
For my previous Currently posts, I've mentioned that I could go through 3 books in a week. A side note has to be made that it's only possible for novels. I can't resist a promising self-enrichment book but it's not something I can devour in a few sittings. I find It's Not About the Coffee: Lessons on Putting People First from a Life at Starbucks though still a relatively easy yet meaningful read. I've picked it up previously in the library, flipped through it and was engrossed, but it was only recently that I finally got myself a copy. It offers lessons on leadership which can be applied to life in general.
What about you? What are you loving now? Let me know below! :)
