WHAT I'M LOVING NOW
1. One Direction's Perfect
I'm a 1D fan. I've been listening to this song since the day they released it on Spotify and I was hooked by the part "And if you like midnight driving with the windows down, and if you like going places we can’t even pronounce, if you like to do whatever you've been dreaming about, baby, you're perfect". Coz, yes, Harry! Yes to all of the above!!! Then I found out/realized it's about Taylor Swift. Which is AWESOME. I'm not really a #HAYLOR fan per se, but I like them both.. and the fact they write songs about each other?! AWW. Let's all write about each other and fall in love! Or wait, let's fall in love then write about each other. UGH! I can't even deal right now, hahaha
2. The Last Kiss Goodbye by Tasmina Perry
First of, the cover photo is so deceptive. I thought it'd be set in Paris, but nope, it's set in London. After you get over the shock that Paris isn't even central to the story, you'd carry on and realize that hey, at least the synopsis was accurate. I mean after all, it was the primary reason I got this book, not the cover art. It's about a girl, Abby, who finds a photograph in the archives of a man saying goodbye to a woman. The image was so heartfelt that she decides to dig around and find out more about them (and take her mind off her crumbling love life). As the story progresses, we are whisked from London to Moscow to the South of France to Peru, as well as two different eras - Cold War and Present Day. The reader witnesses Dominic and Rosamund's romance blossom and then untimely plucked, and how Abby's divorce and new spark unfolds. This is not your typical love story, and that's why I enjoyed it. (Hint: the KGB was even involved!)
3. Seeing clearly
I was at the clinic a couple of months ago, waiting for my turn to get MC, when I decided to kill time by doing the eye exam. I've always prided myself with my perfect vision so imagine my surprise when I was struggling with the letters when I covered my left eye. After several free eye checks and countless debating on whether or not I should get glasses, I finally got myself a pair coz the possibility of getting a lazy eye (one optometrist said I'm relying too much on my left eye) scared the crap out of me. Now everything is just so clear and sharp. I felt like I was in those sci-fi shows when I first wore it. Like Photoshop for my eyes, or something, haha
4. Tender Juicy hotdog and rice
This simple meal really brings me back to my school days. This was something that the maid would easily whip up for me before I went to class, and guess what, I've been having this all throughout the week. I know it's unhealthy but it's really so comforting to eat it now. I love that it's a familiar red and it's distinctly Pinoy. I love that because it's sliced, all the pieces get their own tusta (burn). And yes, I do the time consuming (and again, unhealthy) process of frying after boiling. Yummers.
I'm hoping that happiness is infectious and this list at least made you smile. ;) Check it out if you haven't yet and let me know your thoughts below! I'd love to know what you think and hear about what you are loving now.
