PIG OUT
{wearing: bugis cover up, h&m romper, longchamp bag}
I only get 2 Saturdays off per month and most of the time, I spend those mornings away from work being a total pig - just lying in bed rejoicing in the fact that there's nowhere else I should be. Once in a while though, I fight the urge to laze and ride the burst of energy upon waking up. Those are the days when I feel I am most productive. Take this particular Saturday for instance. By 11:30am, I was already in Orchard to meet my Tita Concep. We spent the day walking around the stretch of malls and encouraging (more like cajoling) each other to shop. We had late lunch at Gerry's Grill along Cuppage because we were in dire need of Filipino food. And Filipino food we did feast on - lots and lots of pork.
Gerry's Grill, 51 Cuppage Rd, Singapore 229469. I know there are a couple of branches of Gerry's Grill in Singapore, but I suggest you head to the one in Cuppage coz it's an actual restaurant so there are more seats and more food variety.
pork sisig, ensalata (green mango, tomatoes, onions), rice
liempo (grilled pork) and inihaw na pusit (grilled squid)
barbecue pork
buko pandan and leche flan
I ran a few more errands and then on my way to the MRT, I got sidetracked by the cosmetics counter. Hence, the raccoon eye (yesss, eye, singular) below. I tried different brands and one was just impossible to remove. Figured what the heck, I was going home anyway, I'll just use my own make-up remover. It was actually perfect for taking the below "look-super-exhausted-coz-it's-already-930pm" photo.

All in all, it was a good day to not be a pig. But then again, my cover up was the perfect shade of piglet pink and we did eat a lot of pork. So... oink. ;p
