LIVING YW&F

{Hawaiian Party at Mogambo, September 4, 2012}

It's pretty funny that the day after I posted my long rambling entry on blogging, my good friend Renzo whatsapp'd me a picture of Yabu Robinson's Magnolia's blogger wall - and it included this blog. Perfect timing, right? :)

Anyway! I've recently been thinking about why I do things - such as keeping this blog (yes, I'm keeping it) - and I realized that although it takes me a while to figure out what I want, I more than often follow my heart even if it leads me blindly. I take leaps - but not before I calculate the odds of me succeeding, and if it's low, the odds of me regretting not doing it. Sometimes though, I spend too much time in the thinking process even if I already semi-sorta-kinda know what I want thus killing momentum. Coz the thing is, I haven't really seen the big picture yet. I know the turns I want to make but I haven't really figured out my destination. In the meantime though, I'll live young, wild and free (I'll try to work on my overthinking, haha) by acting fearlessly on whims as only the young can and just trusting that it will all tie together and make sense one day.

And again I revert to Paulo Coelho~
“Why do we have to listen to our hearts?” the boy asked.
“Because, wherever your heart is, that is where you’ll find your treasure.”
“But my heart is agitated,” the boy said. “It has its dreams, it gets emotional... It asks things of me, and it keeps me from sleeping many nights.”
“Well, that’s good. Your heart is alive. Keep listening to what it has to say.”
“My heart is a traitor,” the boy said to the alchemist, “It doesn’t want me to go on.”
“That makes sense. Naturally it’s afraid that, in pursuing your dream, you might lose everything you’ve won.”
“Well, then, why should I listen to my heart?”
“Because you will never again be able to keep it quiet. ”
“You mean I should listen, even if it’s treasonous?”
“Treason is a blow that comes unexpectedly. If you know your heart well, it will never be able to do that to you."

  2. my blogging is as sporadic as they come as well. i'm glad to know that it's not only me who's found blogging to be very overwhelming. i decided to quit but i realized that i'm doing this for myself first. there are a lot of risks but hell, we have to live young, wild and free. as for me, my work has a lot of stress and limitations…i can't employ the same in my personal life as well.
