CHILL AFTERNOON

If there's one thing I'm totally Capricorn about, it's my being penchant for basic, timeless pieces. Some people shudder at the word basic, but believe me, basic has nothing to do with being plain and dull. Take clothing brand Giordano for instance.

I got the chance to visit their Mega Mall branch a couple of weeks back and I was pleasantly surprised with their wide array of closet staples. Jeans, khakis, polo shirts, jackets, the choices were endless! Once I saw their denim shirts, it seemed like a no-brainer. I wanted the lightwash denim shirt in my wardrobe ASAP. :)) I ended up getting the men's version just because I don't find the typical curved sides (someone tell me the technical term! haha) of women's tops to be that flattering on me. Paired it with khaki pants (also from Giordano) plus loafers and the fake glasses for a somewhat Phoebe Philo meets Alexa Chung vibe. 

It was the perfect casual outfit for a chill afternoon with one of my favorite books - The Fifth Mountain. :)
